Well, we're no longer in Florida, but we have been married for almost 11 months now, and we're loving every minute of it. Here's our life to date briefly:

John and I moved to Maryland, just outside of DC in January. John is working for a great equity theatre called the Olney Theatre Center. He loves it. He's the shop foreman, and in addition to building amazing sets, he gets to buy shiny new tools for the shop. Boys and their toys… =)

I was working as a substitute teacher until school got out, and trying to get a job with the school district. That hasn't panned out yet, mainly because I don't want to teach English, so I'm looking at the educational programs that the theatres in the area have. There are a LOT of theatres, and a lot of programs, so something should come up soon for me to get into.

We love living so near to DC. We're only about 1/2 hour by metro from the National Mall, which has cool things like the Washington Monument. The fact that it's all free isn't bad either. I love the Tidal Basin, and John's favorite is the Hirshorn Modern Art Museum.

We also just celebrated a new addition to the family. John got me the cutest little kitten for my birthday. There was supposed to be two, but they're having some trouble catching the second one, so for now we play with the one. John wants to call her Smokey, and the elusive one Bandit, but we shall see….
